Cooperation of Exxon Mobil and WST in Wind Turbine Oil Change Service
Entrepreneurship ideas were in our minds they are in everyone's mind today. Some people were flying with their ideas, but some had good entrepreneurial ideas. Most of the time, however, these only stayed in meetings with friends. Like many people who saw and aspired for entrepreneurs whose names were written in capital letters on magazine covers, we wanted to do this in a magical way very quickly, but when we saw the difficulties, we gave up. WST is the story of the adventure in which the two partners, whose friendship lasts for a long time and which have different characteristics, add to the synergy. Aybars Kıyak, following his economics education at the university, he gained more than ten years of sales and marketing experience in the industrial lubricants, which he strengthened with his work experience in international corporate firms. With his return to Turkey in 2005, construction machinery, services, staff training and adding his 14 years of business experience from working the construction sector in managerial issues, they began in 2011. feasibility, strategy, and on the October 2013 market research result established the WST companies. WST (Windfarm Service Technologies), the company has scored a first in Turkey since the organization. In order to realize the oil change service needed in the wind turbines, it has imported an equipment with sectoral approvals from abroad. Prior WST, equipment and personnel were brought to our country from abroad while this service was nationalized in a short period of time with the entry of the WST company into the sector. With the forward-looking assessment of Mr. Emre NOYAN, EXXONMOBIL company manager, “Channel Partnership ”agreement was signed with ExxonMobil which is a world giant brand, on 03.01.2014. In this context, WST has made a difference in a short time with the support of ExxonMobil as a solution partner and the quality of service provided to the leading OEM companies of the sector. With this cooperation between ExxonMobil and WST, high customer satisfaction was achieved by offering all services such as procurement, transportation, filtration, application and waste oil disposal as a package for marketing of sectoral products. As a result of this satisfaction, ExxonMobil products have achieved a great advantage over the delivery of competing products.
Since its inception, WST has become an approved supplier of the world's most advanced wind turbine manufacturers. More than 300 different oil and gear box brands, the success of the results of the analysis, fixed, oil change has realized the process and has become a well-known brand in the industry. WST has always been a pioneer in the field of Wind Turbine Oil Exchange Service since its inception: • The first company that imported service equipment for the first time into a portable form on truck, adapting automation and filtration systems to turbine and oil manufacturers' specifications and implementing them with local facilities and personnel. Is a Turkish company. (October 2013) • As a Turkish company, it has realized the first successful oil change operation by using service trucks in wind turbines. (March 2014) • In its first project, it became the approved supplier and solution partner of Nordex for the first time by taking full marks from the comparison with competing foreign companies. WST was able to obtain supplier approval from all leading turbine manufacturers in the world (Nordex, Acciona, General Electric, Gamesa, Vestas). Exxon Mobil employees; Mr. Sarp Değirmenci and Mr. Deniz Taydaş contributed greatly. Thanks to the efforts of this team and Mr. Tarkan Güçlü, who took over the duty from Sarp Değirmenci, Exxon Mobil oil was still used in many turbines, and even the turbines with different initial filling oil started to use Mobil products. Our company is working with the standards in accordance with the manufacturer specifications in terms of correct filtration, cleaning and mixing of different oils, and is pleased to have contributed to the success of the high-tech mobile products. WST was chosen for the complicated “transition to different oils ”procedure, which was issued by General Electric at the end of 2014 and will be applied simultaneously for the first time worldwide, and became the approved supplier of General Electric with full success from one-to-one comparison with competing foreign companies. (December 2014) • Thanks to the references it has received, it has been included in the scope of approved suppliers by VESTAS Company's German Headquarters. (March 2015) • Mobil brand new generation high-tech synthetic gear oil of USA origin “Mobil SHC Gear 320 WT ürün has been awarded to take part in worldwide trials and applied to turbine gearboxes. In this work, ExxonMobil officials Mr. Sarp Değirmenci and Mr. Tarkan Güçlü have contributed greatly. Many different gearboxes in our country are filled with new product by WST and put into operation successfully. • Since mid-2015, there has been a solution partnership agreement with Gamesa, a Spanish origin company (already merged with Siemens). In this context, the gearbox oil change as well as service trucks in Turkey for the first time using a secure, clean, fast, and successfully demonstrated practice of hydraulic oil change can be made. • Finally, with the support of TUBITAK, R & D studies of a high technology oil change equipment have been completed successfully. Our equipment was approved by TÜBİTAK in January 2017 and approved. However, we are indebted to all companies who contributed to the production of this technology by WST, which can be found in the top countries in terms of technology, and who did not spare their support from us. Our company continues to work on oil change applications in different turbines and gearboxes. Turbine reference received from our manufacturers as well as Turkey's leading investors Bilgin Energy Wind Power, Zorlu Energy Aksa energy, there are also a lot of references from companies such as Fina Energy. We believe in this way; real achievements are inevitably achieved through real challenges.
